Request for pics: Wenger OH saw
on: November 24, 2008, 05:10:32 PM
I just read this great article about the soft-touch line by Wenger. In the 'other notes' section the author mentions a 'protruding nib' that allows the saw to be OH. I searched around the web for pics of this 'nib' but it seems rather elusive atm... Can anyone help with some photos or a description of what it is and how it functions?

Here's a write up with some pics and videos I did of the nib:

I don't think it's significant enough on the 85mm series (like the soft touch) to be one handed though.  All the ones pictured are either 111mm Victorinox or 120mm Wenger Rangers.

Ahhh, yes... That's exactly what I had imagined it would be, only hoped there was some real OH thing that I was missing. Sure it's practical, but you still need either a second hand or a belt loop or similar item to open those implements. Oh well...
