Love the Spartan; lightweight, got practically every tool one needs -- just fantastic. I wanna get some blue plus scales for this thing.

I think this is the first time I ever took a photo of a blue Vic and got the actual color.  Usually comes out much lighter.  I took the picture in very low ambient light.  Best wishes.  G

It's wonderful to see my favourite thread still trucking along. It always brought me a smile. It's great to see members from when I was last here still posting regularly, & others new to me appreciating this most quintessential of SAKs.

Good morning Spartans  :salute:
Hi former TonySal - you've transformed! Lucky it's just your handle  ;) & that I'm on my laptop. Reading on my phone where I can't see signatures, your new username had me stumped. ???

Happy Saturday fellow Spartans. It's gone a little Black for a bit of taggery here

I've always had a soft spot for the black Spartan. Somehow it comes over to me as more serious & business-like than the red.

I guess it’s fitting I’m carrying a serrated Spartan (Weekender) on the weekend. Sadly, I’m also at work..

Ahh, an old fave. The serrated blade cuts like the dickens & keeps its edge well. It's also easy to sharpen with a Vic combination sharpener. I like that the serrations are right handed even though it makes little if any difference in practice.

That's a nice colour Spartan, Gary! Here's my contribution for today, a Spartan and an XM-24. I guess I'd better get used to the American flag, I'll become a naturalised citizen in about four months, hopefully.
Gosh, I've not seen those scales before. They're stunning!  :like:

Let that be a lesson to you about camouflage SAKs outdoor.  You can see how this one just snuggled into the long grass and hid.
Welcome back to the forum SG.  Be sure to check out our See-through Sunday thread tomorrow.  Bring along a translucent SAK and join in the fun.  See-through attire is optional.  No pictures required for that last part.  Best wishes.  Gary (IMR)

See through blue.  Love that stuff, Barry.  I was dreading taking my weedwacker down the driveway to cut this morning.  Just when it looked dim, the rain started and bailed me out.
I have an ugly species of mint that grows in my yard.  I can mow one day and this stuff pops up to twice the level of the grass in just a couple of days.  Also hawkweed with its bright yellow flowers.  Looks like dandelion but taller.
One day, researchers may find the ugly mint (purple dead nettle) is a valuable medicine and then I will sell all of mine and go buy an island somewhere.  It would be my luck for the unsightly things to die out from ugly mint blight before I could unload them.
I liked your Barry on the mower photos.  Best wishes.  G

 Gary!   We used to have that stuff around my grandparent's house when I was a kid.  It must have superpower, because it grew like a champ no matter how much you cut it.

For whatever reason, I enjoy mowing.  Riding that tractor is relaxing to me.  Next to a horse, I love riding it more than anything  :D. Happy Spartan Saturday buddy!

That's OK SG. Had the new phone, old password, etc, etc. So the new me- USCG Sal = retired USCoast Guard. The only thing I could think of when I had to invent a new name..   :salute:
