I guess I should at least try Hofritz, or Blackie w/o the pliers?

Some of you remember my home-made SwissChamp.  The prototype was made by using two lesser SAKs and joining them together with a rubber connection module (rubber band).  It was quite handsome and served the purpose for several years.   I was thinking about doing an upgrade to my earlier work and perhaps taking off the old scales and gluing the twain into a more compact and stable unit.  Well, I finally did it.  Here is before photo and the after with my soon to be needed again Cub tractor.  Best wishes.  G

The new scales and integrated fuselage really dressed up my old simulated SwissChamp.  My road is still a little saturated to get out just now.  I looked around and found a package of blueberry muffin mix.  That will fill in for sweets until tomorrow when the driveway dries out a little.  I hope.  Best wishes.  G

I tried a homemade Workchamp XL a couple of years ago myself.  I have to say that I think I beat Victorinox. 2 corkscrews and a Philips head held together with rubber bands?  We had it all covered

Nice Swisschamp and good looking vittles Gary!

My SwissChamp has taken on the duty of my recliner knife. It has been incredibly handy and capable of taking on whatever tasks my arise from my recliner. It cuts off lots of tags from my kids' clothes and stuffies, files nails, and I just used the mini screwdriver from the corkscrew to untangle one of my wife's necklaces.   [ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

I will have to make a smallish confession. I didn't really glue together two lesser SAKs to make the silver one. There is at least the possibility that I told a fibulation. It just might have come that way out of the box. I would hate for someone to be misled by a inconsequential mendacity. It is a nicer one anyway. That's what is important. Best wishes. That sounds about like what mine is doing lately.  I've been in a Leatherman Challenge of one sort or the other for the last 3 months.  Mine is looking for some action but I have a couple more challenges after this.

I really need the magnifier a lot more often than I'd like to admit.  Went to a pet store yesterday to buy cat food and I have to check that fat content is no more than 5% or my house tiger gets an upset tummy.  Thankfully I had my Swiss Champ in my pocket as the whole ingredient list on those cans was an indecipherable blur without the magnifier.

That's where I find I use it the most too, Alan.  I swear the data on products gets smaller every year!

Today has mostly been Spartan but this evening it's been nice to dig out the Silvertech SC just for the fun of it.
