Have just enough time for a quick pic, along with the No. 6 and the 280OT.

Happy Swiss Champ Sunday!!!

I am using one of the last Swiss Champ models with the grey framed magnifier (pliers have crimp).  I updated the scales with Plus white scales and added a mini screw driver and straight pin.  My photos will be delayed until I can figure out an alternative to Photobucket and their new premium upgrade to do what I have been doing for free.  I have a Flickr account and hope that I can use it instead.

Meanwhile, I purchased a Sapphire scale Swiss Champ this morning for my ninth SC.  Here is one of the seller's photos that I don't have to resize:

I believe it!  :D

But the question is, what other blades/saws were you sporting?

The only other blade I had was a Bear Grylls folder.  The thing that saved me was a ton of smaller dead wood and some great tinder.  Last year on the Appalachian trail, my son saved the day with his Hiker.  I always said I'd not go into the woods again without a saw, but knew the area and the availability of small wood.  I wanted to get the creative juices flowing, and have neglected my Climber lately, so I figured this would be a good time.

Is a case necessary for the Champ, users?

Which case is the best, including any non Victorinox cases?

Thanks!

Black Sunday. And for the record it travels in a Swiss red Vic pouch. Can't be beaten.

Actually, I use one of these: http://www.swisstool.co.uk/st/saktory-microfibre-pouch-swiss-army-knife/

Caveat 1: Some members have had trouble dealing with the above site.

Caveat 2: It isn't a case.

Caveat 3: Whether a case ic necessary... depends. :D

Haha, yeah, I guess it does depend :), thank you for the idea and caveats noted. The pouch does look good.

As my champ is red, I was actually thinking of the red case!!

Been using it all week at work and it is awesome, found many uses, including just as a fidget spinner at times :D even found a use for the parcel hook. Have it on a suspension clip.
