I've always been into r/c cars, and not those RadioShack pre built ones, my grandfather liked those, one day he wanted to race me and I had a grasshopper that I changed the motor over to a 50k rpm speed one, well we set up, 3,2,1, and he took off, I just sat there waiting and he started yelling at me, I let him get all the way to the end of the road then I took off, he had to go all the way to one side of the road and then take this w-i-d-e, turn and start coming back, well, as I got to the end he was half way back, I go to turn, just turned the wheels slammed it into reverse, and as the rear slides out its spins 180 and then gunned forward, and flew back and smoked my grandfather by like 5ft :P so ha ha.. Oh was he pissed! After that I wanted to get into gas r/c, thus the one in the pic below, I don't remember the name of it but it's from 96 I think, but it's a 1/8 scale 4wd, I got my son one a long time ago, and I don't remember what it is, I just don't really get into it any more cause there's really nowhere to run them, that and the gas ones given me so many problems, yet a old friend had one in a storage unit and gave it to me, very unique, very old, but, not only a 4wd but 4 wheel steering, and a chain drive, but I haven't done anything.. Yet after reading all the posts on here on quadcopters, that looks fun but again no where to use them that and the cost, like omg.. Wow omg, ok enough,, I'll see if I can find some other pics,,

That looks fun, the radio I have on that gas r/c is actuly a flight radio, so it has long range. I don't think they would like it if I put a camera on it and ran it up and down the streets though, that and if a car came around they would probably start following it and knowing my luck end up running it over, although, I did have that thing clocked in at 73mph, I could put a camera on the back and some little smoking firecracker, lol.. Pffff..

Ok, I went downstairs and dug around, me and a friend made that box, it's on wheels and a carry handle, but it holds both of the two cars, a charger and a little shelf for the parts box.. That other one is the electric one I got the kid long long ago.. And another tote has that old car my buddy gave me that is four wheel, drive and steer, and is also chain drive. Also a remote that I don't think works, but also my old wheel remote to my old grasshopper. And on to the next, every once and a while at lowes they sell off the cases to the display items and I saw this dewalt case and turned it into a very protective travel case for the remotes, the one to the one on the top shelf, and the bad boy to the gas one, that is the long range since it is for aviation.. But that's about it..

My first hobby grade R/C was a Traxxas Jato.  I traded an old cell phone for it, and when I got it, it didn't run.  Took me FOREVER to get it going.  Man, that thing was stupid fast!!  Wasn't really my cup of tea though, and I traded it for an HPI Savage.  After getting the Jato, I bought a custom Traxxas T-Maxx.  That thing was sweet, and I'm still kicking my ass for selling it!!

Here's the Jato and T-Maxx.

Here's a crappy old clip of the Savage.  This is with an Axial .28 that came with it in pieces, that wasn't supposed to run.  It now has an LRP .28 in it, which is an AWESOME nitro engine!!!  Soooo easy to tune, runs like a top, and has stupid power!

How about a pair of airsoft RC tanks?

Here is a 1/16 scale Tiger 1.

1/16 scale DAK Pz. Kpfw.IV Ausf.F-1

Both have metal gear boxes, sprockets, and thread upgrades above the standard sound and smoke features. Shooting the main gun is always fun as the turret rotates, and the gun elevates up and down. Not as fast as the rest in here...but fun all the same.

That sounds like a fun project kirk13.

Although I would never fire them at the cats or anything alive for that matter, once the cats saw these things shoot...that was it. They hide whenever I pull them out from storage.

behold the epic awesomeness of my R/C Ride!    :P

Sadly it seems broken, it does seem to do the charge cycle and runs while connected to the remote (for charging, and only sometimes) but it does not seem to run anymore on it's own... it did get batted around by cats, so likely a loose connection somewhere, not that I expected it to last forever at 12eur (the price is still on it lol)
