BO Tools, level 1,2 or 3 ?
on: March 13, 2016, 12:02:51 PM
Not all my tools are black, but these are:

Not sure if this really applies to the BO tools badge as some are DLC coated and not Black Oxide / anodized,
And for the level... hmmm depends on either flashlights or pens are (not) counted as 'tools'.
So are there 3, 5 or 8 BO 'tools' in the above pic?

PS: and yes, i put (para)cord everywhere (2mm thick one though)

i don't know exactly
The MP400 is for sure, and so is the Glide lock -i think-...
The PumaTec is coated with Titanium Nitride
The pens and flashlights are Black Anodized Aluminum. (Anodizing is technically a process featuring an Oxidation, and the added dye is black here... So, does that count as BO? )

The way I see it is you have one BO tool.
However you have gone to some effort to share a pic with us and I like that.
So for every member who posts 'yes, do it' here in the next 24hrs I'll count as another BO tool towards the badge.

I'm tempted to say "yes, do it" ... but I would like to see a pic of that MP400 with some French scenery in the background for it  :pok:.

Oh what the ... Yes, do it !

(but I still would like to see a pic of that MP400 and some French background  :pok:).

I'll write down the names in order in the evening, as soon as I get my computer  :multi:

As for the "French scenery" it might be quite difficult, I don't think I have any typical French things around me m (I may go to the nearest vineyards in the next weeks)

@Zoidberg, I understand  :), let's close it here, I'll re-apply as soon as I get other 'Real' BO Tools
I should better apply to knots (as I have a lot of (para)cord knots on any single stuff that has a lanyard hole) or even flashlight maybe... But no time to take new pics for now

It doesn't have to be a typical French scenery my friend.  The way I see it, any pic you take outside has some French scenery in it, and that's what matters to us (most of us here just like nice tool pics, and we're quite easy to please  ;)).

Yes do it

As long as we get a list of what the 'tools' are left to right top to bottom  :tu:  :D

Here we are :
Flashlights
NiteCore MT06 2*AAA (NH12) and its thermal throttling feature/issue
Fenix LD12 1*AA (L91) and my protective mod

Pens
FisherSpace Bullet pen - in my EDC (with a #PR4 in it)
CRKT Tactical Pen - Designed by James Williams (with a #PR4 in it)
S&W Tactical Pen - daily use pen and i lost the cap, but with a Fisher refill it doesn't leak at all, so... (with a #PR1 in it)

Knives and tools
PumaTec OHO (i don't know the exact name)
Gerber MP400 BO
CRKT Glide Lock (#7415) (and yeah, Zoidberg, after some more research its coating is TiN, not BO  :salute:)

And for now, the only landscape i see isn't that great at work  :P:

Sweet pic mate .

If you want you can always post pics of your Gerber here and here, that first topic was started by me, and you can post pics of any brand of multitool there, the second topic was started by another member here, and that one is for Gerber tools only (we also have specific topics for pics of Leatherman tools, Swiss Army Knives and so on ...).

Merci beaucoup mon ami  :salute:.
