  • Apparently it is possible to have too many tools;)
Some nice stuff there ^   :tu:

Just as well you didn't include the Oz military version of the  Schrade ST1 "Tough" Tool, Grant's head may have exploded  ;)  (this particular tool is very sub-standard, I wouldn't want anyone to rely on it where their life depended on it)

Nice group of knives there! The RAAF chute knife is something I have never seen before. Do you have a picture of it with the blades opened?
I have but one Australian knife in my accumulation. Not sure when it was issued but it looks fairly old.

Hi Australia, another aussie here :)

Just wondering, what are the extra markings on the chute knife to show that it is RAAF issue?

Cheers, John

Gday , as you might know -with quite a few Aussie items they have just the commonwealth NSN and that is it , this knife was personally gifted to me from a retired RAAF member , I was also told they were not handed out in large numbers within the RAAF ,

Here is a another RAAF Aircrew example

I'm very curious about that "Cooper Tools" Clasp Knife.    I am only familiar with Cooper Tools branded knives and multitools being made by American maker Bear MGC or Bear and Sons in later years.   Is it English made?

Very nice looking knives!   I'm curious about that "Cooper Tools" branded clasp knife.  Is that one any relation to the "Cooper" branded tools found in the US?

The only Commonwealth issue knife I have is a 1950s Canadian Navy Knife (with the Broad Arrow Stamp in a C on it) made by Metal Stampings Limited, a subsidiary of Case that lasted to either the mid '50s or mid '60s (which is how long Case says they used the stamp).  It isn't in the best of shape with severe pitting on the blade, a cracked blade backspring (which doesn't affect snap on the blade, oddly enough), and a sloppy de-rusting job by the seller, which resulted in deep scratches with a lot of rust left behind.
