My first SOG failure
on: April 27, 2016, 05:13:26 PM
My first SOG failure. The spring that locks the PE blade open busted. Called SOG and they said to send it in and they would repair it. Cool! Now the only problem is I have to go the rest of the day at work with no multi. That's the bummer part. At least there gonna fix it for free.
Anyways, here is a pic of what busted.

Guess it's like vehicles and other things as time goes on. Man keeps adding things, improving and ultimately making things more complicated. The more we keep putting in gives more of an opportunity for failure. Simple designs and operation makes the world of difference when it comes to repair. Now you got to be a rocket scientist to fix half the stuff out there. Glad to see SOG will take care of you, they're a great company to deal with.

Bummer. Still, considering the use you get out of your SOG's thats a pretty long run before having one fail on you

I can't complain. I much as I use them and the only thing to break was a simple spring, that's pretty good in my book I think.

Sorry to hear your PowerAssist let go. But I never worry about my SOGs because I know they will make it right :tu: Time to switch back to the PowerLock for a few weeks!
