Pretty cool.  Although I would expect automatics to have an issue functioning without gravity.  :D

I guess NASA certified is one better for marketing than Milspec or tactical?  :P

Hi,

a few years ago I went a bit nutty on NASA collecting and ended up with this little collection of NASA items to go with my Speedmaster Pro........

A closer look at my Speedmaster Pro......

Unfortunately every time I wore the watch I noticed every tiny mark on it and realised that I don't really have the finances to keep collecting watches of that value and sold it after a year, I bought four mil-watches for my collection with the money ;)
cheers,
-John

Quite a few G-Shocks are NASA certigied, too. The 5600 for example, I´ll have to look up which else.

The Vostok Amphibian seems to be the cheapest way to own a space watch, in the actual specification used in space.

I'd think some of the G's would be cheaper....

If you buy a used G-Shock you can say that it may have been in space, if you buy a new one there's no chance that it may have been in space! ;)

Well, since automatics are built with the pendulum on a pivot, the watch could wind better and more freely when it's in zero-gravity situations. So with any small wrist movement, the watch will wind like normal or better possibly.

Mechanical movements function perfectly fine without gravity, in fact some of the more expensive complications exist to counter the effects of gravity on various parts of the movement in different orientations (tourbillion, double escapements, etc.)
