I don't really get the scissors issue.
The bottle opener opens the same way, nail nick on the same side etc yet nobody complains about that one.

Glad it's not just me...

For me the caplifter opens up much easier, possibly due to the short radius or the scissor spring is stronger; also the nail nick is larger and deeper on the caplifter. My opinion, for what it's worth.

Water, water, every where,

I don’t like the PX scissors either. I’ve cut myself a few times trying to open them. I’ve learned how to do it safely but I have to concentrate so I don’t cut myself.

My major issue with the reverse nail nick is that the only reason they made it like that is to be sure they don't mix them up with the 91mm.  Could they not have found a better way to address the not mixing it up issue?

...it's good to learn new things, but in this case they could have allowed the consumer to just open the scissors the way they're used to doing it.

Agreed.  I think a Farmer X would be a big seller. And, I know it can be done........

You can show that puppy anytime you want. That is the one I would love to have in Alox.

A bit late to the party, but now I can join the club, as the Mrs. gifted me a Pioneer X for Christmas. In her words "the big brother" of the Alox Minichamp she surprised me with back in September.

First impressions after a couple of days: It's more hefty, more boxy than I was expecting, but still very pocketable. The nail nick on the scissors is annoying and awkward, but I'm getting used to it. Also, the bane of the 93 mm Alox models, the keyring hole was as uncomfortable as on my Pioneers, so it deserved the same fate: filing into oblivion - now it sits in my palm nicely.
