I have been wanting to try one of their multitools, and maybe a knife, but also would not spend $40.00 on it. I also do not like multitools with the actual spring behind the pliers. Every one I have ever owned either fell off, or got mangled and I could never get it back on.  >:(

The Ganzo tools seem to be pretty much on par with Gerber's Suspension. So yeah, $40 is a bit steep. I also feel they're pretty heavy for what you get. I don't mind some heft in a tool; heck, I own and use a Surge, but the Surge is like a tank where the Suspension is more of a city bus.

Did that analogy make sense at all?

I blame sleep deprivation.

I agree. As a matter of fact, I think the Suspension is better than most of the non branded cheapies I own. It does not get a lot of love here, but mine has been solid. It is one of my oldest multitools and is well over 10 years old. You can still get them for around $25.00 pretty much anywhere also.
