Thanks SG  :salute:

I wonder why the printed symbol on the first two SAK's in your bottom picture include the lines between the shield and the cross? weird given that they're only there on the metal insert to keep the two symbols as one.

Great question Mags and the only thing I can think of is to more closely mimic the regular shield.  ???

The one I missed was like your 91mm, but with nylon scales :)
(But that day I bought my 03 soldier and Beijing Climber instead)
I won't miss it anymore: i found it -where i didn't bought it 5 years ago-
It is a black nylon Tourist (84mm)

What I don't understand is that the grippiness and wear resistance of nylon scales are one of the selling points of 111mm SAKs, but it's considered a cost saving factor in 91mm.  I love the feel of the nylon scales, and their toughness as well.  Soon, I'm going to be putting nylon on my Craftsman and Fieldmaster, and likely my less used Explorer, Camper, and Super Tinker as well.

Lots of sturdy looking knives here READY FOR ACTION and READY FOR BUG SPRAY. :rad explosion:

I too prefer nylon on my "users". Got here a new set of red 91mm, just waiting for the right knife. (I have a Matterhorn that needs scales but wanna stay period-accurate with that, no pin hole cellidor, hard to find NOS)

One of my top 3 user SAKs is the Sportsman II. 84mm Golfer is in the mail, Alumnus build is goin' down.  I want to grab some of the SwissB blue nylon 84's for it...and am flirting with the notion of tossing a Walker into the mix... :huntsman:

I also have this old beat up 91mm Camper. Might end up being my practice knife for polishing out scratches on blades. I got it in a 3-knife lot along with an old cross Pioneer and Super Tinker which turned out to be a surprise gem once cleaned.

I read elsewhere that someone found a pin hole on a nylon Sportsman...but I haven't seen any pin holes on nylon 84mm or any nylon for that matter... confused about that, I'd like to add the pin.

91mm plus scales, yes... add me to the list of people who would buy nylon plus scales...

Are the old SwissBuck Wenger knives nylon?

I'm about to get my first nylon SAK. After reading all the posts here and in other thread, I wonder how many years will it take till the Vic logo totally fades away?

I'd say if you carried it everyday it would be gone within a year.

I just got this Recruit and plan to carry it daily. Might not last for a year given that it's used. Also, knocking on it, it seems more hollow than a cellidor...

Model 3.3601 http://www.sakwiki.com/tiki-index.php?page=Spartan
look under identifires.
It's not Econoline but economy so I guess it don't really count.

And my title quite excludes the nylon scaled advertising SAKs...  though i'd like to see again a black nylon H&K branded SAK that i didn't bought at flea market years ago   ::)

Not ecos, but how about these?

I'm pretty sure at least one of those isn't even a SAK.  :D

Finished these custom scales for my Ecoline since it has a rare tang stamp and is therefore worth holding on to.

Since it is an Ecoline, I won't be missing T&T.

Just need to finish it off with a few layers of varnish to level the shield with the scale.
