Chronograph love- watch badge request
on: May 18, 2016, 07:52:40 PM
I've always loved chronographs.

When I was about 14, my father presented me my first one, the Titanium(TITANIUM!!!) -Pulsar on the left, a watch which literally accompanied me everywhere in the last 20 years. I'll have it serviced and will wear it (hopefully) forever.

The second one, the Pulsar in the midle, joined about 5 years ago when Ms Titanium was off for service in Japan. It's my beater, but keeps well- Pulsar/Seiko for the win!

The third one, the Victorinox Infantry Vintage Mechanical only joined this year. What a fine diva.

Let's see how long the three last. And how long I will last.
Tempus fugit! ;-)

Those are sweet, especially the one on the right!

Congratulations on the new badge!

Thanks gentlemen!

I like the weight of the two steel cases, but my Titanium-Pulsar is still "the" watch for me.
Like you said, Titanium is what all watches should be made of.

It's a sorry thing that the only Victorinox-watches available in Titanium are some hellishly overpriced Airboss-models.
Beautiful, but almost as much worth as my car  :-[ http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-bvCRPBspKo0/VpRVK5zr9cI/AAAAAAABUUk/Jq68qqkCWf8/s1600/Victorinox%2BSwiss%2BArmy%2BAirboss%2BMach%2B9%2BLimited%2BEdition%2B1.jpg

But when I think back a couple of years, when the Infantry Vintage-watch was so absolutely and utterly out of reach, I 'm filled with hope that one day a special stroke of luck might put me into reach of that Airboss as well ;-)

It all depends on if the Victorinox is an automatic, which it is. It will hold its value very well.
