I do not have any of the knives you mention. The one you link seems affordable enough. It does not have a point, so it is not for stubbing, which can be a good or bad thing, depending on the potential use.
Also make sure the handle size is suitable for the user.

Just because you are not as established here as some other folks might be doesn't mean your experience doesn't count!  This is a forum, if folks didn't want to know other people's perspectives then they wouldn't ask for it here!   :pok:

don't get me wrong, i love my moras, but, this model didn't suit my needs. In the end i went with a Palm equipment folding knife, because -
a) was cheap
b) it folded away and sits inside a special pocket on my PFD

not opening the debate about fixed vs folding, or inside the PFD vs outside etc, simply, i do not have the experience to argue one way or the other. Grant however, is our resident Kayaking expert.

and, re my little puppy, thank you :tu: he has grown a good bit since i took that photo.

so, finally picked up a dive knife for my daughter for Christmas. I selected a mac coltellerie shark #9 with a blunt tip like in the link. Why this one ? Well, it was affordable, it's a first dive knife she can upgrade as her needs change, it was cheap at €17 and I compared it against an NRS co pilot and despite it being less then 1/2 the price of the NRS i prefered the cheaper one - better scabbard for a start.

That's a fine looking knife!  I might have to check into one of those myself!
