If you haven't yet, check out the Kahr CM9 for small 9mm. I spent alot of time looking for one. They have pretty good reviews. No complaints over here. Pretty affordable for the average person.

No problem, Ray.  Guardian is a nice carry.  Currently, looking at some other 9mm pocket-guns for EDC-ing.  A lot of choices on the market now.  :dunno: :hatsoff:

Have you looked at the S&W Shield? Nice compact. While I prefer hip carry, some of my friends pocket carry.

I have BM.  Actually, I'm a big-fan of Kahr.  Very reliable, and accurate.

I have a Smith VDE, that's a .40 S&W for my nightstand pistol.  I like the Shield.  Looked at the Glock 43, and the Springfield Hellcat.  Which has a lot of fire-power [11+1] in a diminutive package.  They also, eliminated the 'grip-safety', which is another plus to me.

Very-partial to FNH products, so the FNS-9 in FDE-color, has a lot of appeal.

Anyway, back to the Cold Steel knives.  8)

If you haven’t checked it out, I would also look at the Walther PPS M2.  I wouldn’t necessarily call it a pocket gun, but it is in the same size category as the Shield and G43.

Thanks, Sos!  I'm a fan of Walther, with their 'quick-reset' trigger.  Steyr is also a great brand, that is often over-looked.

What about the more entry level ($30 and below) models? On my list right now is the Grohmann clone (Canadian Belt Knife), and a long list of folders. Namely, the Tough Lite, and maybe a Working Man for a farm beater.

I've really been interested in the Double Safe Hunter. However, no wonder my knife store has had it listed as "Coming Soon" for a year--it was cancelled in August. Price seemed pretty good, given my knife store had it for only $30 or so. Apparently, they have decided to try making it in Taiwan. Can't wait to see what becomes of it.

What they should do is cancel the second safety and think up a new name

They have a very good recipe for budget knives in general, but the newer stuff is starting to become very tacky IMO.

Perfect example is the Finn Wolf, would be all the knife you need if they didn't give it a fashion victim Scandi grind

Steel upgrade, stick to the KISS-principle.

....and I HATE the plastic pocket clips they've now revived

A blue Broken Skull in CTS-XHP is top of my want-list, another colour would do as long as it's XHP.  I had one chance with old stock, but that ship has sailed.....

The working man is a handy knife and it works great as a beater :tu:

My AD-10, and his Belgian-friend "El Capitan" have become my constant-companions during the winter-months.  Very comforting to have 14-rds. of 124-gr. 9mm, close-at-hand.

This variant with the tangent-sight has that pure European-lineage, Ray.  I had to have-it, when I first saw-it.  :iagree: :hatsoff:

Nice looking Cold Steel.  How do you like the aluminum-scales on it?

Thanks.  :salute:
I like the aluminium scales especially the colour, though I can see that some may find them a bit smooth, however I prefer that to being overly textured considering how strong the clip grips. The shape and size of the handle gives me plenty of purchase in actual use.

Got a couple of 'surf shirts' for my birthday from my girly-girl.  These are heavy-weight 6 oz. silk-screened blanks.  So what else, would an old squid wear?  An octopus, what else?  Probably going to grab a few more of this brand.

Thanks, Ray.  Usually when you see one, it's means good luck!  A lot of them in/around the Great Barrier Reef.  Some varieties have their own color-changing ability.
