 I love how these old models look. It feels more comfortable in the hand to me compared to the modern lanyard ring placement as well as looking cool.

You've got the best one I've seen so far Steve  :salute: I agree with you and wish they would still make them with the bail.

I've got a few.



L-R  Old Wenger, brought back from the dead, measures 83mm;
Victoria 84mm "Tourist"; Armee Suisse 84mm;
Wengerinox 93mm with saw; Wenger 93mm;
Victorinox OC Pioneer, not sure if bail is original fittment;
2x Wenger Soldat, 84 with WK stamp, 91 without;
not shown 97 Wenger Soldat and undated Wenger SI.

Bails do look great but they can be real blade wreckers when they snap shut on them ... Especially Wenger soldiers with a free moving steel bail and nice strong back spring.

All that said a bail on an old knife is a thing of beauty :)
