I can add one to this elite group, an old Vic Woodsman.  It has been used but is still going strong, just like me.  😜

Thanks guys, this one is still a work in progress.  It had light green pain smeared in places and I have been trying to get it all off.  Most gone from the outside, but it's even on the liners so a bit harder to get to.  But I don't mind handling it for awhile every day.  😜

PD......those old Master Craftsmans hold a special place in my heart, there is always one in my pocket.  Just the right mix of tools.  That one is certainly worth a little cleanup.  Congrats.....

An old thread resurrected from mid-Summer . . .
Some beautiful vintage going back to the 1960's and earlier!
 :2tu:

Best I can do here is a 2004 Wenger SI:

Got one of those too, 1981. I paid E 5. Quality is inferior to Vic but still good enough.

Your looks to be in better shape than mine.  :like:
I notice the bottle opener and blade on mine seem to be less polished than on a modern 91mm(only ones I have to compare to) at least, is that the case on yours?
Are the layers as thick as on a soldier? They are a good bit thicker than on a modern 91mm vic?
I will post better pics in the morning.

Uh oh, I've fallen in love with my first alox!

Thanks!

Looks may deceive. Mine was heavily used, there's a slight S curve in the back of the main blade and there are sharpening scars all over.
Dimensions of the Amefa seem equal to the Soldier, although I didn't take measures.

Aside from a few minor things the tools on mine are fine.
The one thing that bugs me is that the bottle opener was some slight side play and it doesn't seem to be a problem with the rivet?  ???
