Are waffenkontrolle misstamps common?
on: June 10, 2016, 07:32:50 PM
I got this Wenger 76 soldier recently for relatively cheap as far as both soldiers and alox go, I was kicking around rotating it as a user. It wasn't something I picked up on the listing pictures but when I got it out in the light I noticed a defined double WK on the back scale on the open rivet end, a definite misstamp. Is something like this common? Cool nonetheless. I know misstrikings on coins are sought-after. I have seen multiple WKs on older fiber scaled soldiers. The picture doesn't quite do it justice.

Old men... ::)

I just found a 79 Vic Soldier on FB, from our own MDWP actually. That's my Holy Grail, never seen one for sale before he posted it. It'll be on the way to me shortly. :D Several years ago, Ashley fpund me a 1979 marked Camillus US Army Demo knife. With the SAK in my collection, I will have nothing else to look for.

Yeah, right...... ;)
