That would be an interesting game but it is more fun seeing a small team beat greater ones.

Besides, any chance to see C. Ronaldo make a fool of himself again is as good as any. Can you tell I don't like the guy?

Don't you know Ronaldo McDonaldo, the silliest clown in human history?

Ruis Patricio is the best player in the field. At this point anyone can win. France is better but they are clearly anxious.

I don't know a thing about soccer (honestly), but I think both nations deserve a boost, and I'd love to see people in France celebrating!

Poetugese are the ones who celebrate. They waited for 12 whole years for that. Not much of footbal but they were effective. And their coach speaks Greek. In fact, their defensive play reminded me of Rehagel's legacy.
Anyway, we have our MTO Santos here who should be very happy. Probably celebrating in the streets at the moment.

It is yours indeed. Where is Santos? Is he inside a fountain, still celebrating?

I watched the first half and part of the second.. then I went to bed as it was just too boring.

Congratulations to the winners !

Another Euro that promised a lot but, in the end, was mainly boring.

I think the team for which the danseuse Ronaldo doesn't play will win :pok:

See? I called it early on!  :P

A boring game indeed. I fell asleep during the second half and most of the extra time as I was tired (TV tends to do that to me anyway). Either team could have won.

Parabéns aos vencedores  :)

Hmmm, judging by this post I'd say he's probably found himself a nice corner on a wall to practise  :bnghd:

A bit of a roller coaster of a game this Hungary - Portugal one, ha? :D

I keep hearing the crowd out side:

Ohhhh...
YEAHHHH!!!!
Ohhhh...
YEAHHHH!!!!
Ohhhh...

A final YEAHHHH!!!!

Now I've got to put up with all the patriotic news for another week...

Kinda like me when Greece won the trophy in 2004... The things one would hear... And that stupid chant about how heavy the evzonas' intromittent organ is...  among other stupidities

Yup, it's almost over. The team is going to be decorated by the president, there's going to be a lot of talking and bragging and celebration during this week.

Saw the game yesterday. The french were trying to finish it in the first 15 minutes. When they didn't succeed, that may have shaken them a bit. They were counting on Ronaldo's injury to bring down the portuguese team. They didn't count on how vindictive the portuguese are. All the talk in the french media helped, too.

It was a bit karmic. We passed by the same in 2004, loosing at home. This time, we managed to win.

Like I said about the Welsh, a special word to the french. They are always accused of chauvinism and arrogance, lack of sportsmanship. In the other games of the Euro, the Eiffel tower was always lit with the colours of the winning team. Yesterday, they showed the colours of the LOOSER. You can't get much more sportsmanship than that, right?...

Greek newspapers talk about "Justification". It's like Greeks feel guilty, as if we stole the cup from your hands in 2004 (although we won clearly twice). But also because your coach, Santos, is quite popular here and he always speaks Greek in front of Greeks (that's considered very flattering and gentle).

At the end of the day, football is the real winner here. Well done everyone (except the English and Russian fans - you know who you are! - you should all take a good long look at yourselves and realise it's only a game).

We've seen some pretty goals. The best (in my opinion) was from Ronaldo (a backshot), second from Robson-Kanu and third from Shaqiri. We can recall them here. The guy btw speaks a version of English that makes him perfect for a MTO moderator.

Congrats to Portugal.

I'm still pleased that even though Iceland did not make it past France, Portugal did not beat them.

So I missed all of the last 10 days of the Euro, been in the mountains a bit. Did I miss much? Obviously not really as Portugal won the tournament. >:D

I like #8, many of those long range shots are pure luck (they do it 100 times, they are bound to hit once), but #8 is control and deception... brilliant!

You guys are still watching the Euro? The Copa ended two weeks ago
