And England is down 0:1 after first half against Wales. :ahhh
They turned it around 2:1 now...

Yup, many goals in added time this championship.

I think many players are already on their way home, that late in the game... shame, one would expect PROS to know better.

I'm hoping it will be. Not much good football so far but that's to be expected in group stages.

The whole tournament seems to be plagued by a lack of finishing; team dominate play and get nothing for it.

So far it looks like England, Germany and France are carrying the form one needs to win it.

Cant discount Spain though.

This has been going on for years.. people just remember the one exciting match, and forget the dozens of boring ones, in each tournament.. then they always think that the last tournament was much better - they were not.
you need to go back a decade (s) to find interesting tournaments.
It reminds me of F1, getting more boring every year (until i stopped watching it several years ago).

No risk taking, trying not to get injured, any fast/good player is immediately surrounded by 4 defending players... where is Maradona now....   :D

...

...

I saw most of those, some live. I still remember #5 like it was yesterday, they didn't even show a single replay cause how scary it was. The rest of the Arsenal players were in shock for the rest of the game. I feel Eduardo could have been one of the really big stars if it weren't for that injury. :(

Some of these fouls are funny (sad, really) like Totti's in #10 and Who's-that-guy in #3 but some are awfully scary. Nothing is worth risking crippling a man like this, some injuries could even prove fatal.

I haven't seen Eduardo play but I believe you. I still feel sorry for Marco van Basten. What a great striker  :o Same for Ronaldo "Il fenomeno". :(

I've seen no game so far. Next weekend (not this one) will be my first free weekend since early May. I'll do my best to see quarterfinals and forth.
I've seen (and listened to) Verdi's Aida at the Herodion Ancient Odeon, though. Not that manly for some, but awesome.

Well we have 3 potentially good games on schedule today, Italy - Sweden, Czech - Croatia and Spain - Turkey. I know I'll be watching at least one on the edge of my seat.

Switzerland have jerseys the same color as the SAK scales do. Sweden's jerseys are the color of that Böker knife you ordered this week. :salute:

maybe they should just start using the vic logo on their jerseys

That is smart... they will be hard to see with green shirts

About that Böker... you will have to be more specific, I ordered two different Bökers this week... nah kidding, both (technically all three) have yellow "scales"

Those are not Croatia fans, those are idiots bringing disgrace to the country for decades now.

What annoys me even more than the fact that we lost two points cause of it and almost the game (hopefully there won't be any repercussions to the national team afterwords) is the fact that it had been announced days before that they would do that. And even with the bomb and terorist attack threats they still managed to bring that many flairs and fireworks into the stadium?

Yes, there had been talk for the whole past week that this group of hooligans would interrupt this game as a statement and a slap in the face of the Croatian Football Federation which they think is ruining Croatian football league and more due to the current leadership, corruption, ...

While a lot of the things they say is true, that is by no means the way to do it. They are bringing not only disgrace to the Croatian football but the game of football itself. :(

I was not aware that they had announced that

It just looked weird to interrupt the game, as your team was winning.

Security must be bad... If they can get explosives in the stadium then there was no proper searching.
At one point it looked like they blew a steward up....

What happened today (Croatia - Czech Republic) was... hm... thought-provoking?
1) Croatia should have won the game
2) those idiots who were throwing torches were not real Croatian football fans but idiots and mercenaries disguised as Croatian fans. Also, that says a lot about the incompetence of the French security agencies.

That was not a random incident. Those mercenaries were deliberately thrown in to make that incident. They should have been immediately photographed, arrested, fined and thrown in jail, with their names publicly announced. But nope - security agencies are suddenly "not allowed" to take photos of fans. Yeah right...

Again - French security sucks big time, shame on them.
