No one remember to bring knives to the 4th of July BBQ, so my EDC did all the cutting tasks. Espada slices up watermelon like no ones business and Patriot cuts up all the other foods.

While Espada is the champ for slashing watermelons, it is kinda cumbersome when comes to small daily cutting tasks, sometime inappropriate. I am glad to add Patriot to my carry, awesome little utility blades, the larger spear point for food prep and smaller clip point blade for opening boxes, sharpening pencils, etc.

In Canada we celebrate July 4th on the 1st of July since that's when we became an independent country.  I didn't do much outdoor cooking on the 4th since I spent 13 hours of it driving, but I did get some photos of me cooking with a propane 2 burner Coleman stove on the 1st!

I'll post them shortly.

You can't beat those Coleman portable stoves. I've got the white fuel version, vintage 1974 and still works great.
