Old Full-Cover PST Sheaths
on: June 12, 2016, 08:38:33 PM
Sure don't see many older styles leather sheaths that fully covered the PST & PST II anymore. Was looking over options of sheath carry and found the old PST and it's sheath - lettering got wore off. Touched it up with a light coating of shoe polish and Picard's Leather Dressing.

I prefer these types of sheaths in that it doesn't show what you're carrying and keeps branches or other things from opening up your sheath unexpectedly.

Occasionally see a gent with one of the older style and it just gives ya that warm feeling seeing they are still around. Even rare to see one with the lettering still on the sheath. Saw one just yesterday that was in like new shape.

It was those scissors... I don't remember my old PST II having scissors on them, but I did appreciate the grooved diamond file when I was fly fishing.  :D

I love the PST and PST II :dd: The sheaths are just as nice to me too :tu: Luckily I found several of those back 6 or 7 years ago with mine and the Supertool sheaths as well  They pop up on ebay from time to time and sometimes the price isn't terribly bad  so good luck on your endeavour

There's a PST II on eBay that's got the better leather sheath and claims to be never used. Looks good, though it's also from Miami, Florida. It looks genuine. Dunno.

Maybe it will be gone when I get off of work today, and resistance will be successful. :o

Still tempted, but I have 2 PSTs... an original (replaced once) and a TSA seizure one that has a sabre blade.

I can't believe this old sheath went so high!!!  Crazy!!!  I know they are better quality, but I bought one that looks brand new alot cheaper than that!!!

Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.com/itm/311641907279

That will happen from time to time (more often than not  ) If you watch them you can usually find a decent deal on them :tu:

All the old sheaths are way better to me than the newer ones though :dd:

If you only knew how many times I've repaired the Charge oval-badge sheath. Least the elastic side pockets are still going strong! Should of gotten 2 or 3 of these. Miss carrying the Crunch too.

Is there a thin leather sheath with a button snack good for carrying the PocketToolX Piranha and perhaps a bit card too, and not be rattling loosely? Am actually carrying the Piranha at work cause only an ID 10T could think it's a lethal weapon.
