I use the parcel hook to tighten shoe laces.
I think my first badge here was the parcel hook as well! Great job! Curious, were those tabs plastic? The ones on the screens of the house here all have rather thick metal tabs that push down and wedge against the window to lock. But, then again, those screens are about 30 years old. The parcel hook isn't useless as many believe--in fact I think it has the most improvised uses possible of any tool on the SAK. I've used mine for tons of different things, including most recently, turning a hard-to-get-at latch that was to hold a side engine cover on a tractor in place.

It is time to start your own thread with pictures then.Quote from: cody6268 on July 07, 2016, 03:02:54 AMI think my first badge here was the parcel hook as well! Great job! I think the UV light made them brittle so they broke immediately when I pulled on them. Both of them. I agree that the parcel hook is useful. I have used it for several things already: pulling the cotton out of pill bottles (doesn't work all the time though), holding the SAK pen when writing with it, twisting wire (works great for this), carrying a bucket that the plastic handle had broken off and probably several other things I cannot recall at the moment. It is far from useless.
