Victorinox sheath question
on: July 05, 2016, 09:05:45 PM
When you need to know, you go to the experts.

I'm looking for a sheath to fit 91mm size SAK's. Climber to Explorer.
Something like the Zermatt Pouch, that your belt goes thru. Not a clip on sheath, I would worry I might loose a clip on.
The Zermatt is nice but has an exposed rivet inside. It can be leather, nylon, cordura, snap close or velcro.

I just put a piece of electrical tape over the rivet. Stays on great, prevents wear and you don't notice it during daily use.

I've also done this on my leather LM sheaths that have the exposed rivet as well.

I glue a thin piece of leather over the exposed rivets on my Leatherman sheaths.

I guess I have never paid attention to the rivet on the inside ??? Now I am off to child proof all of my sheaths  :D I have never noticed scrathes from the rivet though but could see how it would scratch the cellidor :o

Those fixes are to easy, tape or glue thin leather.
I should have thought of it.  :twak:
