I haven't bought a SIgnal yet because of the price...
...and if you try and compare it to say a Wave then it isn't feature heavy but if you look at it as a beefed up Skeletool then it is an awesome MT IMO and they look cool as well

Past week I gave Signal some chance.Carried it for two whole days.I have to give one thing for it.I love how you can open the awl and still lock the tool shut.Really helps making that hole into an hard plexglass.I never really have tried it before.
G'Day,I got my Signal yesterday, and must say I do like it so far. I turfed the saw and put a Wave file in and dyed the yellow plastic bits black. It took a good amount of dye to get them black. My first solution was a 25% one and after an hour they were darkish green. I upped it to a 50% solution for 3 hours and they came out a black as the ace of spades. The ferro rod did not fair to well though. I'm not sure if it was the heat or the dye or the added salt to the mixture, but it has some pitting to it. I prefer the tool all black now. The knife is very sharp and the serrations very aggressive. I don't really need serrations for my cutting needs and might try a Wave PE blade. But, it is only day two. I have not used any of the other tools on it yet. I will tinker with it a little more over the weekend. I have a Wave scissors that I want to fit on the inside. I'll put a separate thread together for the mods in the Mod Squad Sub-Forum.I also need a pouch for it...Here are some quick pics.Cheers,Pete

Well I found a "good" deal on it and ordered one. That way I can handle it for myself and if I hate it i'll try to sell it. If not I'll pair it with a vic mountaineer
I got a good deal on one and it arrived a few days ago. My first impressions: I didnt like the sharpener, and the way it felt in the hand, so I took it off. I like that its slim, but still has a OH blade, good size saw, good pliers, bit driver, awl and can opener. I also like the pocket clip. It makes it so easy to carry. Not too fond of the fire steel/whistle, but ergomics is better with it there than without it. (The hole it leaves is big and has sharp edges) The blade is a real aggressive cutter. The serrated part really digs deep when used on wood.
I may pull a trigger too if for nothing else then for its novelty factor.Currently at prices still holding it close to retail, I have hard time justifying it...as someone who carries MUT, separate whistle and fire-steel when foraging outdoors.Cheers.

Today was day two with the Signal and so far I still like. Compared to the MUT, lighter on the belt and sits smaller on my hip. I prefer the MUT blade though. The Signal may fit my EDC duties slightly better than the MUT now that I fitted the File. I have Zero use for a saw at work. I am going to do another "How I find it" thread in a month. That should give me enough time to see how well it fits my needs. I must add that I did get it at a much better price than retail.Cheers,Pete
