July Donation Draw- A Blade with a Story!
« on: July 06, 2016, 02:53:38 AM »
As you all know, each month I try to come up with some funny or interesting angle to try and tell you how cool whatever prize we have that month is, and honestly, I do think these prizes are cool.  But the neat thing about this month's prize is that I've already told you it's story- and in fact, documented the whole thing!

Yes, it's the knife I just rebuilt with my own two hands, and now it could be yours!

I know, it's not all shiny and pretty and new like many of the items we've given away, but I do have to say that it is indeed quite the back story!  Plus it comes with extra screws, a second pocket clip, a tool for assembling and disassembling, and I'll even include the original blade, since it's also a part of the story!

Getting your shot at this knife is easy- just donate a mere ten measly dollars to the Forum Operational Fund (the fund that supports projects and events like the hundreds of dollars spent on all the giveaways this month!  :pok:) and you are entered to win.  Multiples of ten dollars will get you correspondingly multiple chances to win!

Of course this great knife only gets given away if we hit the monthly goal of $275.  If we hit that goal before midnight on the 15th (Forum Offset Time of course) then I'll add in an Early Bird Draw, which is in addition to the Main Draw, so you could theoretically win twice!

To make your donation and enter the draw, use the Donations link at the top of your page, the Make A Donation button on the right side of your screen or just click on the link below:

http://forum.multitool.or...index.php?action=treasury

Also, make sure you take credit for your donation- if you don't then it's hard to pick you as a winner since I won't know who you are!

That's it for now- good luck to everyone!

Indeed, we are over the top, so this knife will find a new home!

And, at midnight tomorrow night I will take the names of everyone who entered so far and do an Early Bird Draw!  There's still time to get in on that, and lots of time to get in on the main draw too!

Nope... that's the Monthly giveaway prize. That will be awarded at the end of the month. He won the "Early Bird" prize - whatever that is this month...

The Early Bird Draw is not usually anything that exciting.  It is however, a surprise!  :D

It’s an autographed copy of the MTO admin calendar swimsuit edition.
If you donated every month, you get the Megan version.
If you only donated in the Giveaway month, you get the Grant version.   ::)

So I forgot to check this thread, apparently since the 16th, and didn't even realize I'd won anything...   :twak:

Anyway, thanks all!

Also, I'm pretty sure that qualifies me to get the Grant version of the calendar now... :ahhh

Thanks guys, although as Grant will hopefully confirm  :pok: I didn't donate that amount to win the GAW, to be fair I didn't even look at it until a few days after and I did have a reasonably lengthy chat with him about it.
