I was cutting with a pair of 85mm Wenger scissors last night and I had a revelation: they are much more comfortable to use and they work better when held upside down.
This way it's easier to compensate for the bobbing motion caused by the sping. Also, you can use both the index and middle finger to operate the lever, which means more force can be applied with less effort and that the thin piece of metal that is the Wenger scissors lever doesn't dig into your thumb. Finally, this way the scissors spring is less prone to getting pushed out of place.
All this makes me see Wenger scissors under a different angle. I like them much better now. I have to wonder if this was intentional or not though. The scissors lever shape makes me think it was.
