It's been a very entertaining couple of weeks. Congrats to E-Thizzle for such a great conundrum and well done ZMan (who I think cheated by being from the future) and Styx, and all others who had a go.  :salute:

Apologies to the winners, due to some work issues I was unable to send the prizes yet (but I'm hoping I will manage tomorrow).

We have state elections in October and due to sickness it was up to me to do all the candidate-lists for one party. Those flyers will be sent to every one who has the right to vote, so that gives us half a million envelopes for 11 counties with county specific flyers and lists from 11 parties :ahhh. Anyway, they went into print this morning so we are well ahead of the deadline.

The printing machine is quite impressive, printing 300 sheets / min. Of course they have to go through a second run for the back-side, then they will be cut, folded and cut again. In the end we will have a small booklet with 2 or 3 pages containing all the candidates of the party for one county.

 :cry: can't put the images inline anymore and comment them...
The machines 6 towers (making it 3x better than LotR). First tower does align and stretch the paper, towers 2 to 5 are printing the colors (black, cyan, magenta and yellow) and the 6th tower would add a clear coat (not used in this case).

Paper feeder

Paper collector, see how nicely the paper is stacked? This is important for the next steps but also a proof how precise the machine works despite its incredible speed.

The bottom sheets that are marked and spaced were to dial in the machine (set up the colors and such), they will be discarded anyway.

Don't get me started on the mail service. I had a chat with my the brilliant people at my post office yet again over this because "you can't pick up your package on the day that the delivery attempt was made". Considering that post office is the central hub for the entire postal code area, the package has to be there so their bs really makes no sense, unless the delivery attempt was made without it
