Do the scales from older Wengers fit on the newer (Vic) Evo / EvoGrip models?

I really like the older Wenger scales in black, but they are not easy to find in good to new condition.  If the knife the scales come with isn't good, I was thinking about fitting them so one of the new Evo models, if possible, but don't know if they can connect together as they should without modifications of some sort.

TIA~

Hi
My understanding is that they will not fit.
Vic redesigned the scales from the Wenger 'wrap around' design to the Vic 'flush with liner' design when they brought out the Delemont range

  • I may get older but I refuse to grow up.
Are you trying to fit them on the new Victorinox Delemond or the Wenger Evo SAK? On the new Vic Delemond, no they won't. On the Wenger Evo, depends on how long ago it was made. There's a few variations of the wenger scales.

  • Bon Journee!!
It's funny this came up, as I really like the Evo version of the Handyman and wondered if the new scales would fit on mine.  Now I know!

At this time, I'm just information gathering before consider purchasing a knife for that purpose.  Appreciate the info on the Wenger Evos.

I was able to get a few of the Wenger EVO 16's before they all disappeared.  I was also able to get a couple of the flat, old style black Wenger scales a year ago.  As an FYI, the old style scales fit perfectly on the Wenger EVO 16...which I really like.
