It's feels fine. It's actually quite chunky which is a plus on a knife this small; there is something to hold onto.
But I must admit I struggle to find a purpose for the Meerkat. Every day I end up chopping bits and pieces for salads, and a blade this small can't help me there. It may be a good knife for whittling but there I imagine the Dragonfly's slimmer point is superior.
I had my eye on the Raffir Noble Chapparal for a long time... its hefty price put me off and I got a few others instead. I definitely would love to get one but for now I have more Spydies than I really need!

Here's my favourite Spydie at the moment - which I would love to get in ZDP, more because of the colour of the scales (British Racing Green) than the exotic metal in the blade! (Moronic reasoning, I know.) Alongside the very awesome X.

My df2 it's in ZDP-189. I hear it's brittle and chip easily and the blade is very very thin (it barely beats the chaparral in thinness).

The df2 is great for slicing tasks but it's too small for me. If I clip it to a pocket I'm worried it will slip out anyway as it has no weight on its own. I'll probably remove the clip and let it fall into my pocket with a lanyard to make it easy to find.

If the meerkat is too thick in edge then the df2 could probably be better fit.

You can borrow mine and carry it around for a while and see what's to like?

That's very kind of you Stoneshank but I already have a Dragonfly - albeit in stainless steel - so I have a pretty good idea how the ZDP Dragonfly must feel in the hand. (I have a Native and a Stretch in FRN so I know what that material feels like. At first I couldn't believe how ugly it was - but that's another story!)
However if you'd like to take the Meerkat for a spin you're more than welcome. It would have to be soon however as I am off to the UK at the end of the week, taking hand luggage only, which means no Vics or Spydercos or anything else for a whole week! Kind of like going to rehab.

PS a picture comparing the Stainless Dragonfly and the Meerkcat.

Nah I'm eventually gonna give in to the temptation in getting a meerkat, it really looks sexy!

I'd more be interested acquiring those steel scales for my df2 tbh, would behind a pretty cool gift for a friend!

I have plans to engrave my Dragonfly ... soon as I figure out which technology to use to do it.
I would definitely recommend getting your Meerkat from the States, unless you can find one in Europe that isn't exorbitantly expensive. They're just too expensive here!

The SAK? It's Grenadil (type of blackwood).  :)

Although nowadays I rarely carry folders, as I almost exclusively have a SAK and/or a multi, these were some of my favorite folding knives to carry.

Vic Golfer and Sportsman, a Sanrenmu 763 - older model with anodized aluminum scales, no full liners -, a Sanrenmu 7007 - CRKT Drifter clone, or rather sibling, as I suspect SRM is the OEM for the Drifter as well -, a Kershaw AM-3 and a Ontario RAT II (older, AUS 8 blade).
