Vic in Standoff
on: August 30, 2016, 04:27:04 AM
Just watched Standoff (2015) staring Thomas Jane and Laurence Fishburne.
In the film Jane's character heats the blade to cauterize a wound and at one point it is used as a weapon.

I believed it is a Centurion; 2 layers, locking, no corkscrew

You could be right, perhaps somone else has seen it and got a better idea as to what it is.
My guess was based on handle profile and layers. The blade is the only tool used in the film.

What apears to be a slide lock visable at 1:12:41 but is supper blurred as it is just a flash when he rolls his grip on the knife

Also the tang stamp is  kind of in focus at 18:57
I can tell it says stainless but cant tell if thats a mar or the umbrella above it.

Sorry for the lousy cell pics, watching on xbox not pc so no screen shots.

It sure does look like one of the larger vics doesnt it? What threw me off was the handle color seeming a bit darker than the normal red. It could have been the shadow though. Either way that was a great movie!!
