Dolly's World Tour - Can you host?
on: August 01, 2016, 03:17:24 PM
I have some sad news. R2 and Dolly have parted company. They were too dangerous for each other and R2 has had enough.
WP_20160801_003 by magpie2112, on Flickr

Dolly is now homeless and says she will wander the globe mooching living off the kindness of strangers, much like Blanche DuBois. To this end I am suggesting a Dolly passaround. PM me if you want to host her and I will send her your way. Take a pic or 2 when she arrives and then pass her on to the next person (Don't worry -she'll soon outstay her welcome).

Who could resist this face?
WP_20160801_005 by magpie2112, on Flickr

I will post anywhere in the world so pop your name on the list.

I'd offer to have her come here, but I doubt she'd leave Blamington Hall!

I'd be happy to host her.  It's only a trip across country though.  I have a couple of spare geocaching travel tags, so one could travel with her so you can track her progress around the world.

Maybe a pic of Dolly in the RIB with Rex, drinking a coffee with your SAK collection and reading the Ray Mears book? Sounds epic to me.   :salute:

ok, is she zig zaging around the world in a reckless manner or is she following a more structured tour ? so, is she heading to the states, then canada, then back to ibach as per the list or is she going to cut down her environmental footprint is what i'm attempting to ask ?

Kev, how do the geotags work ?

Kev, how do the geotags work ?

I've created an account for Dolly on the geocaching website. I register a travel bug for her on there, and as she travels we just log the location it visits on geocaching.com website. As we log the locations it plots a map on the travel bug page.
Easiest way for everyone to see it is post the link in the first post, and seeing as Magentus is a mod I'm assuming he can edit the first post.

Nice one E-Thizzle - I'll add you to the list:

1. Kevin Davey - UK (What Ho!)
2. Eamo - Ireland (That would be an ecumenical matter)
3. jerseydevil - NJ, US (Noo Joizee)
4 Aloha007 - California, US (Duuuuuuuuude)
5. Grant - Canada eh?
6. Etherealicer - Switzerland (Red OC Farmer? Yes I have one - all Swiss citizens are issued one each at birth)

Eamo - as you know she is famous for her recklessness - she cares naught for climate change (one of the many many reasons for her breakup with R2). I have no idea how she will wend her way around the globe. I have even less idea if there will even be a globe after she's finished her mission.
