My folks just visited "Dolly World" (Dolly Parton theme park) in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.... 

Maybe Dolly would feel at home there...

There has been an unfortunate breach in security in the sLaughter household. It was a perfectly pleasant Sunday morning, until I decided to catch up on checking the mail, and was greeted with this horrifying  scene:



Dolly was in a positively delighted mood, despite my despair; I suppose she was excited to stretch her legs after her long journey from parts unknown. So far she has been well behaved, and is enjoying her time hanging out in the States immensely.



Ever the curious spirit, Dolly has begun investigating her new environment with my garden

My serfs have been conducting some scientific type experiments and they have come up with the idea that bubble-wrap, brown paper and packing tape just might go some way to incapacitating her.  I leave it to others to carry out the field trials though. ;)

Not that i want her visiting after she abused my hospitality last time. My daughter still wakes up crying at night with the terror of it all. When my dogs are bold, all i gotta do is eyeball them and quietly say "Dolly" and they behave themselves. The cats ? Well, i won't mention what she done to the cats.
I am grateful that the herd hadn't moved in while she was there, probably never lay an egg again by the time she'd be finished with them !
