Dutch Oven
on: May 23, 2016, 07:48:43 PM
Mom has been wanting a dutch oven so I bought her one last fall. I was over at moms helping get the ground ready for the sweet potato plants that are coming this week. Brought a roast and sweet potato mom added some onion and carrots and started cooking. Turned out really good.    :)

Yes, top and bottom. I might add it didnt take that many coals to cook the roast. First time to use charcoal briquettes with the dutch oven. It worked great. I was pleasantly surprised.   :)

That is a good idea with the coals :o It also looked    :D

My wife has recently went to using cast iron almost exclusively and if seasoned correctly they are very nonstick  Plus they last forever and are almost impossible to destroy :D I may yet talk her into a dutch oven :tu:

Looks so tasty. I just had super and I'm hungry again.
Over here, down under, every camping shop sells them for cheap. Lots to choose from.
