ah cool, thx Zed & Styx. One more thing, in that previous Canterbury Vid he says Mora "Ka Niv" really thought it was Mora "Knife", but I think he would know the correct pronunciation, but damn thats tough to say/change my perception after years of saying it wrong  :rofl:

Usual pronunciation in Finland is "Morapuukko", which is obviously totally wrong and offensive :twak:

Morakniv is correct.
I guess its kind of hard to pronounce correctly by non Scandinavians.
I think Nate actually nailed the pronounciation in this video (6:44)

It doesn't seem like most Germanic languages (except English) use many silent letters, unless they're being adopted from other languages.   :cheers:

I find it interesting that in French (a Romance language with a tad of Germanic in it) they have the word canif for pocket knife.

Must be an old Germanic relic.  German and English have quite a few French words, example

Chauffeur
Mayonnaise
Limousine
Repertoire

Finally have 2 on the way! First two moras, one stainless and one of the chisel versions.

Be interesting to see how they hold up in salsmurfer.

The stainless version is more forgiving than the carbon but in my experience you'll still want to rinse off and dry both of them after fishing.
