Speaking of carving, used the companion to make a Bushcraft hammer :multi:

Me too, that's probably my favorite of all Mora.

Ducttapetech, do you still use your SOG tomahawk much?  I remembered you used to go outdoor and chop some wood up for a quick tea/coffee. :D

I'd been away for awhile, but so glad to see old habit dies hard!  :like:

OP, pardon me for a quick derail, would you want to join us for a 30 day axe challenge?  It's a fun lot, and perfect excuse to use it even more.  >:D

Can I join, here's my Garberg. I have a few more moras stashed away I will have to dig out.

My trouble is i never show initiative, but that's only because no one has told me to.

Bumpity.

Got 2 Eldris’ one in red and one in blue for my oldest daughters’ first knives.

Also picked up a Garberg for myself. Still trying to decide if I like it enough to justify over the old HQ robust or regular companion.

L-R: Eldris, 120, 546, companion, HQ robust and Garberg.

Yeah, very nice selection.  :tu: I was giving an Eldris by Smashie and I really like it.  Tried to persuade my daughter to give it a go but she loves her Opinel Outdoor Junior to much to want something else.

Thanks guys

It’s funny (sad?) how many of these I have and how little use they get.

I have 2 of the orange companions that live in get home bags in the 2 vehicles. The 546 was given to me by a friend and it’s my utility blade substitute, but usually I just use a disposable utility blade. The Garberg is too new to have used yet.

Basically I use the 120 quite a bit for whittling and the robust when I feel I “need” a fixie for a job.

Hence the dilemma of whether to move the Garberg on. It’s cool and seems very robust and well made, but it will likely just sit in a drawer.

Got to love Mora.  I have a little KJ Mora that is a dream to use.  I carried and used it on my recent camp trip.  Boy this little fella did a lot of everything.  While I am not a proficient bushcrafter I do enjoy little bushcrafty things while out.  I cannot see myself camping without my little Mora.  Such a joy to carry and use.

I have one, and I really need to put it to more use.  They're almost indestructible, and the company is a very friendly group of people to deal with.
