I'm in, but I only have 3

My first, I think it's a 511, that my father gave me when I was 15 (1985), the sheath has split so it spends its time in a drawer.

The modern 511

And finally the Companion Heavy Duty

Still being new to the knife world, what is the draw of mora knives? I'm really curious about this phenomenon

Low price workhorse knives that can consistently perform as well as (or better than) knives costing 5x-10X as much. Steeped in mystique and history, they are world famous. Often seen in the hands of both the celebrity and everyday sportsman/woodsman/camper/bushcrafter!

Well put SG.

Mors Kochanski swears by them and Ray Mears championed them here in the UK. Very cheap, but take a fantastic edge and do everything you would expect from a decent knife, except, as SG says, for a fraction of the cost.

don't forget that they are very light and if the handle should fail, the ease of replacing ones is hard to match

They can take a lot of abuse too, but if you use them for their intended purpose they will outlast you.

Here's another one of mine, an older model Scout knife that I keep on my floatation vest for canoeing.

That sheath looks really nice Gareth. Nothing complicated that couldn't be fixed with a very simple needle and thread if needed
