I know

I just installed the 3rd new ferro rod for my Bushcraft since getting it, that happens when they're around 50% and won't stay in the holder anymore.  :salute:

I know it's a knife not a lighter, but it's just always there........ :hatsoff:

just got a robust, but there is a small chip near the tip on the spine, gonna exchange it since its a carbon blade and worried rust will form, first Mora I've gotten that was sloppy

here's a pic of the robust with chip on the spine near the tip, this was a brand new item, got a replacement coming tomorrow, wouldn't have been too big a deal if it was SS, but with the carbon blade I think that's a potential weak spot for corrosion or rust. aside from that its got the usual Mora razor sharp edge and good weight, feels more like a real tool than the lighter craftline pro I have.

Don't forget the possibility that the whole area of metal was stressed so further damage could have happened

would you believe the replacement has the same issue, but not as severe, kinda at a loss here as to what to do, wondering if anyone has this robust model and can take a look at theirs.

I've never had this model but I have noticed on newer Moras that the spines look very unfinished, they are stamped out blades and like Styx said there mass produced and cheap but I wish they would sort out there spines , I would stick that on my grinder but sad this needs to be done  :-\

My experience, anything below the Companion in the line-up will have an unfinished spine.

My opinion is the knife is still better than it's price, so I do not mind.

I find it discombobulating that a knife can be made at the top end of the planet, shipped to the bottom end of the planet and still cost so little  :salute:
