Found 1 of the 3. Unable to find my other 2. Turned the whole place upside down. Getting depressed the more I think of it. And one of them was my dad's when he went to the military. The other one was a gift.

Got this today, cleaning it up. I'm noticing diagonal "grain" on the cap lifter and can opener, like it was ground down and machined but not polished? Very uniform "grain" that extends onto the tang (it didn't happen after the tools were installed on the knife). Is this the normal surface for these? it's definitely machining and not wear.

Yes, that's normal for the older ones. They didn't polish them like the newer knives.

Yes it is TP. They are advertising scales from Cascades who make "tissue products".
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cascades_(company).

The original knife was a Pioneer Settler which is where the "rare" 93mm small clip point blade came from. It was always going to be a user so most of the tools are from used knives. Other Donors were a 91mm Explorer, a 93mm Pioneer and a 93mm Solo. Only the Solo was a new knife but there is still quite a few dollars invested in this build.

Eagle eyed viewers will notice that the scissors are on different ends in these two photos... Well, I can't stop fiddling with some of my mods. It is about to undergo another strip and rebuild as test mule for my "cheapo" brass pivots as soon as the screws arrive (they are literally on a slow boat from China).

Brilliant! Reshaped mag lens I see...and you used the Solo backspring for the phillips/mag?

You've probably had to answer this every time you post it..

The Solo spring is for the Scissors.  The mag glass and Phillips fit on a normal Pioneer blade layer spring.
