Great looking knife there. I like the belly on that blade.

Looks to have been made by Chevy from the badge  :D

It doesn't need to be!  I only commented on JD's post because he said something about it.  My love for Barlows is unconditional.  ;) :D

Traditional Challenge, Day 20, 21

It was a busy Labor Day weekend for me, and I'm behind a bit on my posts!  I carried the Rebar/Case jack combo pictured below for the 3-day weekend.  This is an incredible work knife, and incredibly sharp.  It bit me when I got careless yesterday but I barely felt it, like when a razor cuts, but it was immediately obvious from the profuse bleeding.  I've included a picture after the healing overnight.  It definitely made a clean cut, and deeper than it looks this morning.

The moral of the story?  Don't be careless opening a hair-shaving blade that is supported by beartrap springs!

They sure built that one with clean lines, didn't they?  Everything hides so well in the frame when it's folded.

Traditional Challenge, Day 22

#51 Queen Dogleg Mini Trapper Jack w/D2 blades & bird's-eye maple scales

One of my all-time favorites today.  This is the hardest knife to photograph I've ever owned.  Pictures never do the beautiful BEM justice!

I had to look up the order in my old emails! It's "harvest orange" jigged bone. It's a beautiful color.

Thanks for the kind words, guys.

I posted that same knife back on day 5. You are right it is very hard to photograph, every time I try it comes out a little bleached out looking.
I agree it is a great little knife & one of my favorites as well.

Yeah, I saw your post and forgot to comment on it.  :-\  For some reason, mine usually looks more "blue" (purple, actually) in pictures than it appears in person.  I actually did some photo manipulation on today's pic to correct the color.  I don't think these sold very well for Queen, probably for that very reason.  The stock photos looked terrible.  If someone saw the BEM in person, they would snatch it up.  The grain has a depth to it that you rarely see in wood scales.

This is the first Queen I ever bought new, and it is built as well as Queen gets.  The 2-3 Queens I've bought since can't match the F&F of this one.  I should have quit while I was ahead!  :D

My first Queen as well, just shows to show great minds think alike.  :D
Fit and finish on mine is better than my other Queens as well.
A little FYI Queen made the our BEM's in 2008 & 2009.

Too many nice knives I don't get to comment on all of them.
