I can see my meager collection of traditionals will be expanded in this month, already eyeing out a few,.

For today, I went with a personal favorite, a late-70's Camillus TL-29.

This one is actually the second Imperial that I got, it's unmodded for now but It may get the treatment as well. It turned out really well , a great slicer.

After three days of using the Opinel, here is my summary report:Low cost high value.Round handle is super comfortable in hand.Perfectly designed blade cuts extremely well.Wood handle swells after cleaning, makes it almost impossible to deploy the blade. I have to leave it in a bag of rice every night so I can use it the next day.Round handle takes up way too much space in pocket.

They are amazing for food prep; I use it at lunch, clean off the blade, toss it back in the drawer and it's good to go the next day. They're little pocket cutting lasers.Day 5Buck #302 Solitaire. My first Buck, first traditional. It's a great performer, perfect pull and snap, handle is nice and slim, blade cuts well if a bit on the thick side. My only criticism is that brass bolsters need to be cleaned up periodically, but hey — that's just what Buck does, and they look slick when they're all shiny.(Image removed from quote.)
Still trading between the Schrade 340T and the Buck 301, but would like to introduce another pattern to those who may be unfamiliar with itCase - Physician's knife, single blade, flat end for crushing pills
Day fiveCatching up on photos from yesterday as well;also to please Gareth

Here is another one just for fun I am thinking of carrying one day soon in the spirit of the challengeImperial Knife (old), two blade jackknife with bone handles in the "easy opener" patternNote cut out in the scales near the bail, where the main blade can be opened with the thumb and index fingerGreat for heavy spring, nail breaker knives, or those with partially disabled, arthritic, or weak hands Same pattern made by Camillus ( also old)Sadly the manufacturer's name is almost unreadable on the tangPosted to show the knife in closed position
