Nix, I really want to like the 26. And with lighter weight rounds it is fine. But with 135s and 147s, it is painful to shoot and the recovery time is longer than it would be with a 19. Which I can fire 135s (standard and +p) and 147 all afternoon or until my wallet begs for mercy, and not describe it as "painful". I have the same problem with the Gen4s- my brother has a Gen4 17 and it seems to have a different and higher recoil impulse than my Gen3 17 and 19. Can't explain it, I'll blame it on the over complicated telescoping RSA over the one that hasn't been messed with in almost 40 years.

The traditional recoil spring gives me a slightly longer barrel, the option to mount a light if I need, and IWB or in a pancake, the difference is all in the butt. Of the pistol. Even my 17 with the light mounted doesn't make my backside look bigger, but the backstrap is noticably harder to hide above the belt line than the 19 for me, while the 26 barely prints under jsut a tshirt and with a top shirt disappears. I almost cut down my 17 but I found a great price on a police surplus 19 and went for it. Eventually. I won't lie- this was a five day project, but only an hour of actual work other than fine tuning with sand paper. It was mostly me picking up the coping saw, not being able to cope, and stepping back until I found my nerve. So glad I did it, becuase the extra barrel length also helps stabilize it compared to the 26 when they are both worn in Glock Store's 35 Dollar Holster (my spare, which I'm not as fond of but is useful some days and I have them for both my 19 and my 26). I'll attach the outline I did when I was talking myself into this, if you can see the grid lines on the back of the paper they are one inch.

And I'd forgotten, I need to call someone out. All the good ones have been picked already.... And I'm sure someone named Grant started this, but with a little digging, I don't see him for the past two years on this. So, GRANT, calling out your EDC, lets see how it changed. And... Syph becuase there isn't enough custom in this world.

Pabs You asked for it...
(Image removed from quote.)

Front Right Pocket:
Three sets of Keys, Home, Truck, Work, Vic Aqua Trade Cadet, Zebralight SC62, Vic Compact

Custom Leather belt pouch:
Swisstool, Ratchet set, Leatherman Bit Extender, Klien 4401, Leatherman Rebar.

Left Front Pocket:
$0.41, Carmex, Vic Spirit XBS (Dark Spirit)

Rear Left Pocket:
Wallet

And I almost forgot what holds it all Up
SOG Synk II
(Image removed from quote.)

Yeaaaahhh man. That's what I am talking 'bout! :like:

I feel so lightweight comparatively.
I am trying to just carry the ReWave as my only MT for the challenge, but that pic makes me want to throw my Surge and SwissTool in with the ReWave and SAK Explorer(which I will do tomorrow. Haha). :D

Love the fact you are using a Sync II as a belt buckle. I am contemplating buying an extra to use in my EDC. I really like the plier design on the Sync series.  :)

The Synk II pliars are great and the knife blade is good.  I'm just not impressed with any of the other tools or very fond of the locking mechanism.  It locks great but the release meathod could stand to be improved greatly.

Indeed. The 'tool as unlocking lever' is quite antiquated, but I have a hard time imagining a much better lock on the Sync II, without making it thicker.

Nix, I really want to like the 26.

Mehhhh...it's a tool. I'd bet a Cadet, a Spartan, and a PX that I'd prefer shooting a chopped G19 to a G26. I've seen other G19 conversions and they awl look good! And they make sense. I prefer the G26 because it is easier to carry concealed in the appendix position. But I far prefer carrying my G19.

Both of these have been tweaked and tuned and sport Heine "Straight Eights". They both are uber reliable and carry well. In Winter, the G19 gets the call. In Summer or bikini weather, the G26 gets the call.

Seems you've found a great compromise!  :tu:

@ Thanks for posting Ironraven you gave me some ideas  :tu:

@ Douglas, I can easily see how I'm reasoning with myself to end up like that (if I had aSwisstool).

The thing is that I had to cut down to a lighter carry, because running after our kids I was littering the ground with treasure and tearing my pants apart   :D

Hey zoidberg,

Since Nix and _MattGyver_  responded to my challenge, can I request the badge? :)
I would have requested it already, but I remember I was turned down last time, because someone responded too late. Perhaps I am mistaken?

The stipulations for the badge are a bit vague and you'd know if I have met the expectations for it. :tu:
