My new Oukitel K10 arrived yesterday...

Even though it's physically larger than the old K10000, it's actually 50g lighter  :)

Better specs, 11000mAh battery instead of 10000mAh, blah blah blah  :D

It's a huge black monolith and I love it for that  ::)

I'll get better pics some time...

Oh it's handling itself, sunday before last I charged it, last sunday it was on 15% and I had fiddled with it quite a lot,
put it on the charger, about an hour and a half later it was on full charge again :pok:

(It's a 5V/5A charger...  :))

Other than that... It's more of the same, really...

I mean it's 50grams lighter than the K10000, but mostly the same experience.

Sure it's faster and the touch screen is more responsive.

I do like it

I have the One+ 6T, first phone in years I am actually satisfied with. The only drawback I have found it sometimes it is really too big. It's super super fast and the T-mobile version comes with 10gig of ram, and base of 128gb of storage.

cheers,
H.G.

Nice.
I hear that Samsung has done some techosorcery to the batteries in those to make them last longer before capacity degredation.
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

I upgraded from a Note 4 to a S9+ last August and the batteries are far better than they used to be.  Even with a brand new battery in the Note 4 I was charging it at lunch time with heavy use, I easily get a full day with the S9+

I heard the battery is actually bigger than it claims to be.
Reason being, if you don't use the entire capacity of a battery, because some of it is software-locked, then battery degredation happens more slowly.
Hooked, like everyone else. ;)

All hail the hook!

That is great to hear about the batteries :like: I didn't know that :tu: I use my phone lots during the day, for work and for here  and am usually on around 40% by coming home time and charge it on the way home in the truck :salute: by the time I get home the battery is usually back at 100% and ready for whatever else I can throw at it til bedtime :D Some evenings it gets a lot of use but sometimes I just use my computer and it gets put on the wireless charger, to be full and ready for the next day :salute:

Oh, thats another thing about the 6T vs the 6 from One+, it has a 4000mA battery. Even with use on a game nearly 100% of the day, it finishes the day with around 37%. If I dont use it much usually at 65ish percent at the end of the day. I’ve actually used it for 2 days without issues.

Cheers

My S8+ just updated to Pie last night :ahhh  Not sure how I feel about it yet  Some of the apps are better already and some have changed in ways that I may not love :-\ I guess I might as well get use to it and move forward :D

Some of the standard icons look a bit crappy to how they were, the camera and gallery ones for starters. I preferred the old previous ones.

The icons are difffernt but my camera app seems better now  :like: I don't know if it really improved battery life or not though :dunno: I am getting along with it a bit better already but it does aggravate me that my alarm clock was changed a bit and it took a couple days to get it back to the way I wanted  :D Otherwise no major downsides to it :salute: :tu:

 :iagree:  :D

I got the LG V40 a while ago when my S6 broke down. Basically got it for free because my wife was in need for a new phone as well, and there was some kind of special old-for-new promotion.

Really like the camera with the three different lenses on it, but man that phone is a large brick  :ahhh Have to start carrying a man purse to be able to have it on me  :D :twak:

:D  Nothing against Android - I was very happy with the OS and most of the apps - but the hardware (Nokia 6.1), though beautifully made, was a bit flaky.  A bug in the speaker meant that call volume was low and couldn't be raised, and it kept crashing Spotify and Strava, two apps that I use regularly.

I've gone back to an iPhone SE - second hand for just over £100 and it's great to have a phone that can genuinely be used with one hand only.
