Help with wingman scissors in a TTi
on: August 26, 2016, 09:50:40 PM
Can anyone guide me on making the wingman scissors function in my charge? I have them swapped in but do I need to notch the spring bar so the scissors open fully and function? If so, any pictures on how much to notch?

I'll have a look tonight and see if I have any pics that might help.

Bumping for my second attempt with a different Charge.

Can I use a spare pin, put my saw from my Charge on the spare pivot pin, put the wingman scissors on top of the saw (pivot hole opened already) and grind the scissors flush with the saw?? Works in theory.

Apologies for not getting back to you with this one. It is back on my list and this time it should get done.

Got any pics showing what you've already done to the parts?

I have located a box of parts. That's one step closer to some pics.

First make sure the scissors is hard up against the stop. See the scissors spring as a pointer.

Then slowly file where the liner lock bar needs to clear.

See scissor spring for approximate angle you should be filing at.

Check often, as soon as the liner lock bar can pass then you are good.

There's  no need to file the spring, correct?
