Well, I've had the Pharmber for 3yrs longer and is my ultimate custom dream knife, the Beast on the other hand is a little unique, it's a champion plus which I changed out the scales, but I ordered one for my son as his first sak because it was my first! Now I ordered it and was suppose to get it in two days, yet didn't, after four days the wife called and spoke and they said they would ship out another, now two days later I got one, and then the next day got another, so the Mrs called again asking what to do, and they said keep it.. so not only did I get one for the kid but now I got one for myself and both for the price of one, thus why I changed the scales to customize both his and mine, and I finally fully retired my old one, that's now for good memories! On top of that, the old one was fixed with a part from my grandfathers champ+ and put in his sheath, and also one of the tools on the Pharmber is off his.. so another reason I think I'm "monogamous" to the Pharmber.. yet don't really use because I don't want to break it. It's more of a special event..

I have to admit to the group... I just had to use my Centurion over my normal carry SI just now.

I was attaching brackets on the back of our dresser for the mirror. I used my Bosch electric screwdriver for many of the screws. But the head of the 5/16" socket would not fit the opening in part of the rails. So I started with the Bosch but planned to finish with my SI. Unfortunately, the flat head driver on my SI kept folding up under the pressure.

So I grabbed my Centurion and used the LOCKING flat head driver. Chore accomplished!

As much as I love the looks of my SI, I might have to give it up as my daily carry if it fails me like that much more.  :-(

With the lock on the Centurion, it's definitely appropriate for that kind of work.  I wonder if the older pre-93ish SI's would have the same problem. I imagine the polish and slightly smaller springs/tools make for an easier close.   Some of the older Soldiers/Pioneers I have  the cap lifter is very tight.  Never had any folding problems, but I'm usually doing lighter tasks.
