We don't have any real quarrel about minichamp vs rambler - all a matter of personal preferences.

:iagree:  I apologize if I've left the impression that I'm quarreling, it was not my intention.

As do I.
Everyone has an opinion as to what they prefer, and I'm definitely good with that because I've picked up some amazing ideas over the years.

Well said.

Opinions often times reflect a completely different thought pattern than one you've experienced yourself, and can certainly be enlightening.

Man....  :o
No offense bro..., but those scales look like crap. It's like they have been through a war zone.

That's the exact reason i don't let any of my cellidor SAK's go anywhere near a set of keys...
Haha yeah I put a lot of mileage on those.  I've been meaning to get some new scales for them - the metal parts just need a little cleaning and oiling.

A while back I got this alox Classic SD to replace the celidor Classics but I'm retired, live in the country and seldom leave home so I've never gotten around to putting anything on my key chain.

I got an Alox classic as an add-on with some other knife.  Still don't know exactly what I'm gonna do with it yet .

You're probably like me, Pit.  Got more stuff than you can really justify owning now.  Best thing is just to enjoy the little pretty thing for what it is.  By the way, I made a simple carry pouch for my minichamp like you suggested.  I used a corner of a padded envelope and taped it together.  Anything to keep my keys from eating my little SAK.  If it doesn't work then I will just toss it.  Best wishes.  Gary

I got my general pattern from a $.99 slip that I picked up at a convenience store.
It does the job.

I gave away a Classic SD this week after a friend of mine bought a nail clipper and then complained that they no longer had a hole for attaching to your keys and didn't even come with a nail file like they used to.  I guess they don't want you to be able to hijack a plane and take hostages with a dangerous nail file.  I said you need one of these, showing him the Classic SD attached to my keys.  Then I took it off and gave it to him.  Seemed like the thing to do at the time.  Only had to go without for a couple of days and replaced it from my secret stash as soon as I got home.

Classic SD.  It has a toothpick, but no pocket for a tweezer.  Makes it look a little different.  Best wishes.  Gary (IMR)

Nice looking tools there Gareth.

Last night I was mulling over some upcoming mods and circled back to carrying a separate SAK for scissors and free up carrying a plain Pioneer or electrician. So today I am carrying these two.   [ You are not allowed to view this attachment ]

This is one of the newer ones so I think the name is "Fire Opal".

However, being Scottish, I have a better name for it.  :D
