I feel the same way about my Alox Minichamp.  It's thinner than even the Midnite Manager that lives on my keychain despite having more tools, and it pairs nicely with a larger SAK or other knife.

Talk about function... needed the nail file on my new Classic today... had a tac folder which is beautiful but at the time, no use... see... little knives rule (sometimes )  :salute:

...and it was supposed to be a Waiter Wednesday to boot!

That's the thing about tac folders; they're fine for opening a box, de-animating an enemy entry, or other Walter Mitty fancy jobs, but for the zillions of little things you need a pocket knife for in the real world they're a useless one trick pony. The SD tip on the classic fits sight adjustment screws on S&W revolvers, most small Phillips screws, the small scissors do things a knife blade can't including light brass are cutting. The file smooths out broken nails. The tweezers have many uses.

And they don't alarm people in public. That thin little blade is like a scalpel.
Don't get too serious, just enough will do.

Didn't do the Classic this week, all I'll do is play with the file!  Lol  Maybe I'm better off without the little scizzors too...... :(

It's one of the reasons I started carrying a Rambler or the MiniChamp with Classic T&T scales . . . and now the Alox MiniChamp in its leather sheath will see some pocket time. The pen blade on them is perfect for opening letters shipping boxes and padded envelopes . . . keeping in mind that cutting paper will take an edge off. Nevertheless, nobody ever winced in a "business attire" office environment at pulling out a 58mm Vic, 65mm Wenger, or a 74mm Vic (aka Prince) to do any of this.

The tac folders with spring assisted opening get sideways glances at the sound of them (OK, he's opening a shipping box). Never been anything more than that, but they do attract attention. If I used the 91mm for a task like that, it was always the small blade, not the large one.
