Thanks, Barry!

Just replied to that thread.  If there's nothing slated for 2026 yet, maybe January would work?

Proof again that the Little SAKs can do the job, key chain or watch pocket!

And they can do it with “STYLE”!

So many different scales designs, and materials!

I think Barry’s “Space dust” was most interesting and entertaining scales of the “GOAT” scales make a statement.

I even added some Christmas themed units to my box, after holiday mark downs and I was not even part of the challenge.   Contagious read review if you dare!
If I start and end the day above ground, it is a good day!

Hope yours is as good!

It has always in my life, again and again, been a surprise to find out how little is needed. no matter knife, gun, car, tools, whatever, I think its a human trait to over estimate what we. need. In my admittedly neurotic quest for the maximum minimalism, I've pushed the envelope as to how small an object can go and still be functional at its intended task.  Ultra light backpacking and all the insanity that entails, crossing the country from Atlantic coast to the Pacific and back in a Smart car, then doing the same trip one summer on a Vespa Motorscooter, kayaking across the Chesapeake bay. I've been told by loving, but concerned family to get professional help, but I'm having fun so what the heck!

But after my period of infatuation with the Case peanut, and I found out that I really didn't need much knife for most things,  and I had a Victorinox classic on my keys anyways, I went the next step. Left my holy peanut home and just carried the classic. To my amazement, the sun still rose in the east, the earth kept spinning on its axis, and I opened mail, Amazon packages, cut twine, sharpened the pencil I carry, and trimmed my nails with the classic.

With experimentation I found that the rigid part of the scissors can  be used as an awl to make starter holes for a wood screw and the SD tip to drive a Phillips head wood screw.  I couldn't do that with my peanut! Yes, in most urban/suburban surroundings, a classic will do what you need.  :tu:
Don't get too serious, just enough will do.

It carries very well, if Gary had not mentioned TINKER Tuesday the Small Tinker would still be in the box.

Even the WENGER SE combo blade on the HIGHLANDER carries in the other pocket with no issue. Same size, same tool set except small blade is file.

I like the SPARTAN, but, I really enjoy EDCing a SPORTSMAN. And yesterday a small TINKER.

The WENGER Tourist or SE HIGHLANDER are also pratical solutions.

I'm carrying a little SAK today. Not up to going outside today. Bijou will be enough. Best wishes. G

I rather like the white scales.  Bijoux haven't been made in a while now.  Nothing but a Classic without a keyring.  Some have a screwdriver tip/file and others have a pointy fingernail file.  This is one of the latter.  Best wishes.  G

You know, until today I didn't know that there was such a thing as a keychain-less Classic (although, I found out for a different reason than your post, haha). It's crazy how coincidental these things are (i.e. my finding out about these models from two different places on the same day after nigh three decades of collecting SAKs). Very cool little model, IMR! I got — for the first time — a keychain-less 58mm from Dan which I absolutely love. Here's another photo of it for the thread. I actually love the models without keyrings so much.

That's an older one with the pointy nail file like the pre-SD Classics used to be.  Can't put the little things on a keychain, but they fit well in a purse or wallet.  There are a lot of advertiser Bijoux out there.  Best wishes.  G

The pointed file models are the originals in my mind!

The CLASSIC SD models have the screw driver tip.

Two different  versions.

I wonder if the key ring nub absent on advertising models were to prevent the imprinting to be scratched off by dangling around.

My only CLASSIC has the keyring (with pointed file)

You see 58mm with keyring and without.  Also 91mm with keyring and without.  All of them might have advertising.  It is hard to figure out why Victorinox made them in ring and ringless models.  Wenger used to supply SAKs with and without the scale tools, which didn't make much sense either.  Best wishes, G
