Executive fan here, but chose the Classic. As they're really easy, and inexpensive to acquire an arsenal of, in any color or corporate logo you can imagine. Plus, despite being tiny, every function works. The thin blade can take a razor's edge.  Executives seem to command a premium on the secondary market, but are most easily found in mixed lots often at less than that one Executive would have cost.

In my opinion, the Sportsman as well as all 84mms are a full sized pocket knife.

In my opinion, the Sportsman as well as all 84mms are a full sized pocket knife.

That's probably the reason the classic is such a world wide favorite. You can walk onto most big box stores, and of the price of a chain restaurant lunch, buy a new classic that's good to go, and will fly under the radar going into most government buildings and other places. They are capable of most urban/suburban pocketknife chores and makeup no room in a pocket or keyring.
Don't get too serious, just enough will do.

I have a Wenger Pocket Tech but what drives me crazy about it is that if you dare to use the scissors to cut a fingernail there is no file on it you can use to smooth the rough edges :ahhh
For me the Pocket Tool Chest is where it's at.

Can the 84mm's be considered a small SAK?

I realize that it may be pushing the envelope a bit, but the bantam and waiter are very slim knives that fit in a coin pocket. And the recruit is a great SAK, if maybe a bit middle size. What defines a 'small' SAK?

I recently picked up a Pocket Tool Chest at an estate sale for a steal and while doing my usual SAK searches on evilbay came across original 65mm titanium scales made by Wenger.

So I did the obvious and swapped out the red plastic scales for neato titanium ones.

So far I'm enjoying it quite a bit. I'm not a huge fan of the serrated scissors but I also carry a swisscard in my wallet (also covers for the loss of the toothpick and tweezers) but over all it packs a ton of use in a very compact size.

 :like:   I got the aluminum scale version but don't sport it too often because I prefer this size SAK on the keys and it's a bit heavy for my taste.  The PTO is great though, I prefer it to the MiniChamp   :cheers:
