I recently picked up a Pocket Tool Chest at an estate sale for a steal and while doing my usual SAK searches on evilbay came across original 65mm titanium scales made by Wenger.

So I did the obvious and swapped out the red plastic scales for neato titanium ones.

So far I'm enjoying it quite a bit. I'm not a huge fan of the serrated scissors but I also carry a swisscard in my wallet (also covers for the loss of the toothpick and tweezers) but over all it packs a ton of use in a very compact size.

-Wes.
It's hard to beat the PTC for bang for the size. It is my most used SAK.

Handy, and no security employee can make a fuss over the scissors on the standard Jetsetter (since on yours, there are none). Great mod!

Because the Jetsetter doesn’t have a nail file, I decided to make my own using an old Rambler with beat up blade.

I may grind the rest of the stub off if I get around some better equipment, but the dremel did good enough.

I am really confused why so many prefer the rambler over the Manager. Do people really use the toothpick a bunch?

I use the pen on my manager regularly..very comfortable.

Cheers,
H.G.

Thanks Hap,  :iagree:  I would use a pen over the toothpick more often....

The only scale tool I regularly use is the tweezers, I don’t really use the toothpick and I tend to carry a seperate pen.  When I first got the Rambler, I wasn’t aware of the Manager.  I may get a Manager to replace the Rambler that I removed the blade from.  I really wish Victorinox would offer some of Classic scale designs in other 58mm like either the Rambler or the Manager.

Tried one of my 2 China Classics from Chase (bank). Blade not sharp enough to cut you, rubber-like toothpick, metal tip tweezer and a not so hot scissors...meh...  :dunno:

...just gifted a little red Classic to a buddy who got caught with his old Classic (with some company name on it) at the airport.
He just said to the lady TSA. Keep it, and kept on going...

Lately I've returned to the Sportsman for casual pocket carry.  :tu:  It fits in my jeans coin pocket just nicely, with a bit less bulk than a Wenger Traveller, currently my next favourite midsize knife.
